DeGooijer, Jan of Orange City born abt 1825 died 1882 rural Orange city, assume buried in Orange City as no headstone found.

Died Friday, he lived three miles east of here, He leaves and widow and children.

Jan De Gooyer living northeast of Orange City died Saturday the 26th of cancer in the stomach.

In the 1880 census of Holland Township Sioux county John De Gooyer was 46 years (abt 1834?or 1825) old a farmer, his wife Anna was 42 (abt 1836) , They had children Nancy 18, William 21, Henry 16 born Holland, Maggie 13, Hattie 11 born Holland , and Janet 6.

In 1885 census of Holland Tsp children Henry age 20, Hattie age 16, and Jane De Gooyer 10 who were living with Arie Kuiper and wife Antje. Father in law was Willem Willemsen.

Marriage record lists Jan De Goijer 32 married Angieta Willemsen 20. His father Hendrik de Goijer and mother Niesje Bosch, her parents Willem Willemsen and Neeltje Haalboom. Married 6 Nov. 1857 at Wageningen, Gelderland, Netherlands

From the birth of son Hendrik found on wiewaswie.nl his father was Jan de Gooijer and mother was Angenieta Willemsen. Their son Hendrik was born 21 Nov 1864 at Beekbergen Gelderland. Their son Willem was born 27 Apr 1860 at Wageningen. Their daughter Niesje ‘Nancy’ was born 21 Aug 1862 at Wageningen.
