Friday, Aug 1 , struck a sensitive blow, in which my beloved wife and children’s caring mother died. Mrs. Nellie Cleveringa – Hoffs, who died, after a serious illness of a few weeks. When asked whether she was willing to die, she replied that she wished to remain confident and to leave it to the Lord. Although this death is heavy, however, we do not grieve as if there in no hope. For more than 25 years we were allowed to spend life together. Except me and the children, she leaves two brothers and a half brother. To friends and neighbors thank you very much for the help and sympathy during the illness death and the funeral. F. Cleveringa and Children Sioux Center IA.

Cleveringa born 1894 died 1894, Wilhelmina 1897-1940, John 1898-1972, Frederik 1898-1972, William 1909-1962.

This referenced ancestry.com account has her born in Sioux Center and the parents are wrong! Nellie parents were Jan Hoff and Heiltje Nootenboom.
