Died, last week Wednesday at her home five miles south of town, Mrs. Brower, aged 78. The funeral took place from the First Reformed church last week Friday. The services were conducted by Revs. Kolyn and Breen.Checking immigration passenger lists found a widow P. Brouwer came 16 Apr 1888 on ship Leerdam.
DeVolksvriend of Jan 25, 1894 lists the elderly residents as Mrs. P. Brouwer age 78.After continuous determination on the part of the submitter to identify the widow P. Brouwer:
Found that her son was Jan Pieter Brouwer born 1840 see his obit, he was born and married in Andijk NH, Neth to Grietje Kooiman 27 Apr 1865. His parents were Pieter Brouwer and Hiltje Blokker.Then on www.wiewaswie.nl found their marriage. Pieter Brouwer born Andijk age 26 and Hiltje Blokker age 22 were married Feb 9, 1838 at Andijk, Her parents were Hendrik Blokker and Marijtje Kooiman
Further found that her husband Pieter Brouwer died 9 Apr 1881 at Andijk, NH, Neth.
