OUKE VAN GROUW PASSES AWAY SUDDENLY

Ouke Van Grouw, who resided northwest of Boyden, passed away suddenly last Thursday at the Maris Hospital in Hull, after a sickness of only a few days.

The funeral services were held last Saturday at the Reformed Church of Boyden, with the Reverend R.D. Douwstra officiating. Interment was made in the Boyden Cemetery.

Ouke is the son of Arie & Cornelia (Post) Van Grouw. He married Tena Jongsma on March 5, 1907 in Rock Valley, Iowa. They are the parents of Arie, Rens, and Hessel. His son, Klaas died December 15, 1919.

Deceased leaves a wife and three little children to mourn his death, besides a brother living near Inwood, and his father of Rock Valley. His sudden death was a shock to the entire community, as only few people knew of his illness. He was about thirty eight years of age at the time of his death.
