This appears to be Adrian Dorsman, whose death certificate shows him to be a resident of Sanborn, O’Brien County, and to have died there at 3 a.m. May 23, 1935. He was born August 25, 1841 in the Netherlands; parents Coyn Dorsman and “unknown” Vander Bie; widowed, wife Gertrude Vanden Berg; informant Ed Buren, Sanborn; cause of death, myocarditis, onset May 20, 1935, and fractured femur, onset April 1, 1935; contributory cause, senility. But the section of the death certificate that asks if death was due to external causes (violence) says that an accident occurred at home on February 9, 1935, in which he fell on the floor and fractured his femur. Buried at Alton.

The Sioux County Cemetery Index has Dorsman, Adrana K., b. 1841, d. 1935, Father, Nassau Township Cemetery, Alton IA. His FindaGrave.com page has him as Adrianus Kryn Dorsman, with a photo of his headstone: “Father, Adrans K. Dorsman 1841-1935.” It shows him born In Zuid-Holland, Netherlands; wife Gertrude B.
