Mrs. Cynthia Vander Zwaag passed to her heavenly home on Sunday, January 18.

Mrs. Vander Zwaag was the daughter of John P. and Mary Van Steenwyk Muilenburg, born at Orange City on the 15th of December, 1891. Cynthia married Bert Vander Zwaag on February 26, 1913 in Middleburg, Iowa. They separated by 1920.

Mrs. John (Claretta) Mulder, John Russell and their daughter, Laura Lynn, are the survivors of her first family. She also reared the children of her sister, Johanna; John M. De Groot of Columbia, Missouri and Ryndert A. De Groot of Sibley, Iowa. Grandma Cynthia also leaves Randall, Allyson and Ryndert Derek of Columbia, Missouri and Vicki and Ron of Sibley, Iowa.

Mrs. William (Ethel) Van Oort of Ireton and Mrs. John (Nellie) Mouw of Sioux Center are surviving sisters, as well as a sister-in-law, Mrs. Bernie (Martina) Muilenburg of Sibley.

Cynthia is buried in Hope Cemetery in Hull, Iowa in the same plot with her daughter and son-in-law, Claretta and John Mulder.
