Annetta Schipper, 80, of Hospers, passed away on Monday, January 6,1997 at the Orange City

Municipal Hospital in Orange City, Iowa. Services were held on Thursday, January 9, 1997 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Reformed Church in Hospers with the Rev. Brian Janssen officiating. Burial was held before the service at 9:45 a.m. at the Hospers Cemetery under the direction of the Vander Ploeg Chapel of Hospers.

Annetta Schipper was born May 9, 1916 on a farm east of Hospers. She was the daughter of Ben and Ann (Van Kerkoff) Muilenburg. She had her schooling in a country school, Newkirk Consolidated School and graduated from Hospers High School.

On January 26, 1938 she was united in marriage to James Schipper at Hospers. They farmed near Hospers until 1955 when they moved into Hospers. James died on died on February 21, 1987.
She was a member of the First Reformed Church of Hospers and RCWM.

She leaves to cherish her memory the following children: Ronald of Las Vegas, Nevada; Joanne Hoffenkamp of Sebeka, Minnesota; Jay and his wife Judy of Hospers; Marvin and his wife Deb of Box Elder, South Dakota; Gary of Hospers and James A. and his wife Mavis of Hospers. She is also survived by one brother, Ivan Muilenburg of Hospers. There are 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Her parents, her husband and one daughter preceded her.
