John Vander Wilt died June 12, 1896 at the age of 38 years.

Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church in Orange City, Tuesday, for John Vander Wilt, who passed away at the De Bey Hospital in Orange City, Saturday evening. He was laid to rest at Middleburg Cemetery, Sioux County, Iowa.

For the past few months, Mr. Vander Wilt made his home with the Bert Smit family.

His friends here will regret to hear of his demise.

Note: He was married to Sophie Vander Wilt in 1884.
