Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 in the Christian Reformed Church for Mrs. Jennie Vader Wilt, who died at the Orange City Hospital on Tuesday, November 10th, following a major operation. Reverend J.H. Geerlings, pastor of the Christian Reformed Church officiated at the funeral rites and interment was made at the Orange City Cemetery beside that of her husband, John Vander Wilt, who died last December.

Mrs. Vander Wilt, nee Jennie Bloemendaal, was born near Orange City on January 17, 1886, daughter of Everett and Johanna (Van Ek) Bloemendaal, and is the first of eleven children to pass on. She was married to John Vander Wilt on March 10, 1908. The young couple went to farming northwest of Hospers and lived there until retiring to town in 1946. Three sons were born to his union and who survive their mother, Arnold, Edward and Arthur. The deceased was a member of the Christian Reformed Church and of the Ladies Aid Society.

Besides her sons she leaves three sisters, Mrs. William Scholten, Mrs. William Van Steenwyk of Orange City, and Mrs. William Van Surksum of Hospers. Seven brothers, John, Ralph, Gerrit and Joe Bloemendaal of Orange City, James Bloemendaal of Alton and Henry and William Bleomendaal of Hospers besides four grandchildren and a host of near relatives and friends.
