Funeral services were held Wednesday at the American Reformed Church in Luverne, Minnesota and at the Boyden Cemetery, with Reverend Arvin Wester in charge of services for Mrs. Henry Vander Streek, daughter of the late Harm and Sophia Meendering.

Mrs. Helen Vander Streek was born November 7, 1893 in the Netherlands, where she was reared and received her schooling. In 1918 she came to America and lived in South Dakota and Northwest Iowa most of her life, living south of Boyden a number of years. In March, 1922, she was united in marriage to William Vander Veen who preceded her in death on March 9, 1947. On June 27, 1952, she was united in marriage to Henry Vander Streek of Luverne, Minnesota. They resided together in their home in Luverne until the time of her death, early April 18, 1959 at 5:30 A.M. She was suddenly stricken with a stroke and within the same hour she was quietly called to her Eternal Home.

Mrs. Vander Streek was a faithful member of the American Reformed Church in Luverne, Minnesota.

Surviving are her husband, a companion for nearly seven years, five step-children: Mrs. Dick Vos of Luverne, Minnesota; Mrs. Fred Baker of Lake Wilson, Minnesota; Mrs. Gerrit Brands of Pipestone, Minnesota; Alberta and Henry Jr. both at home. She also leaves to mourn, seventeen step-grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. John Klyer of Carmel, Iowa; Mrs. Henry Vander Welde of Ripon, California; Mrs. Lambert Thomas and Mrs. Roelof Speelman both of the Netherlands. One sister and three brothers preceded her in death.
