Roger A. Vander Veen, age 27, of Orange City, passed away Monday, March 6, at Marian Health Center in Sioux City after a two week illness.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 11, at the Third Christian Reformed Church in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The Reverends Jerome Julien and Peter Breedveld will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Gardens in Edmonton, under the direction of Foster McGarvey, Ltd., in Edmonton. Local arrangements were with the Van Etten Oolman-Van-GelderFuneral Home of Orange City.

Roger Allen was born June 8, 1961 at Edmonton where he was raised and educated.

On August 3, 1985 he married Edith Margaret Vanden Brink at Edmonton.

He graduated from the Reformed Bible College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in May of 1987. Currently he was in his second year at the Mid-America Reformed Seminary near Orange City.

He was a member of the Ottewell Christian Reformed Church of Edmonton and a student member of the First Christian Reformed Church of Sheldon.

Survivors include his wife: a son, Bradley John; Parents, Klaas and Joanne of Edmonton; four brothers and sisters: Edward and his wife Irene of Edmonton; Sharon and her husband Ron Vanderlee of Terrace, British Columbia; Kenneth and his wife Helen of Abbotsford, British Columbia; and Brian of Edmonton; and parents-in-law, John and Janet Vanden Brink of Edmonton.
