Mrs. Bert Lubbers and son, Willard Lubbers of Paullina and Mrs. Nellie Vander Meer attended the funeral of their brother-on-law and uncle, Charles Vander Meer, 78, of Hull on Monday, at the First Reformed Church of Hull.

Mr. Vander Meer passed away on Thursday October 23, at the Floyd Valley Hospital, Le Mars after suffering with a lingering illness.

He was married to Kate Doeksen at Hull February 13, 1913. She passed away in 1968.

Surviving are three sons - Roy of Omaha, Nebraska, Willis of Rockford, Illinois, and Bob of Las Vegas, New Mexico; three brothers - Dick of Hull, Iowa, Albert of Sioux Center, Iowa, and John of Rock Rapids, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Steve (Elsie) Van Otterloo, of Rock Valley, Iowa; and two grandchildren.

Note: Charles Vander Meer's parents were Roelofs and Rowena (Kosters) Vander Meer.
