Bastiaan Vander Aarde Passes On at the Age of 91 Years.

Bastiaan Vander Aarde died Monday afternoon at the age of 91 years and seven months.

He was born in Alkmaar, Netherlands and came to this country in 1874. He married Aagtje Eriks in 1871. The later years of his life being spent in Orange City.

He is survived by his wife, and two children.

The funeral occurred Wednesday afternoon from the home. He was buried at West Lawn Cemetery, Orange City, Iowa.

Note: Bastiaan's first marriage was with Dirkje Burger on April 4th 1850. Dirkje was born October 17th, 1831 at Wervershoof and died at Barsingerhoorn December 7th, 1870.

Bastiaan remarried in 1871 to Aagtje Eriks.
