Graveside services for Guy Vanden Burg of Sioux City were held Monday afternoon in the Orange City Cemetery.

Mr. Vanden Burg died Thursday morning in the Lutheran Hospital Sioux City where he had been a patient for a few weeks. He had been ill for a couple of years. Funeral services were held Monday in a chapel in Sioux City.

Surviving are the widow, the former Henrietta "Etta" Vande Waa of Orange City; one brother, Reverend Louis Vanden Burg of Paterson, New Jersey; one sister, Mrs. B.A. (Abbie) Bowers of Sioux City. There are no children.

Mr. Vanden Burg was born 82 years ago in Chicago and came to Alton, Iowa, with his parents when he was a small boy. He was married at Orange City to Miss Etta Vande Waa and the couple observed their golden wedding a few years ago. They had lived in Sioux City for many years.

Reverend Howard Tuesink of New Jersey, a nephew of Mrs. Vande Waa, had charge of the graveside services at Orange City. Mr. Vanden Burg’s sister, Mrs. Bowers, her son and daughter, were among those from Sioux City at the rites.
