Research Note: From a report on ancestry.com (by others) Bastiaan Roos was born 21 Mar 1844 Westmaas Zuid Holland Netherlands married 2 Nov 1880 Iowa died 13, Jan 1923 Maurice IA. His wife was Kaatje Van Garden and parents were Aart Arijsz Roos and Jannigje Snijders.

In the 1900 census of Maurice Bastiaan was born Mar 1844 Holland, came to USA in 1875 married to Katie Roos age 57, in 1880. No children mentioned
