Mya Jean Sneller, age 7, the daughter of Ryan and Jenna (Honermann) Sneller, of Sioux Center, IA, died from injuries sustained in an accident on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at Sioux Center Health in Sioux Center, IA.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at the First Reformed Church of Sioux Center with Rev. Roger Voskuil officiating. A private prayer service and interment will be held prior to the service in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Sioux Center.

A visitation with family present will be held from 4PM to 8PM Friday, July 5, 2019 at the First Reformed Church of Sioux Center.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the “The Sneller Family Charitable Giving Account” for later designation. https://www.gofundme.com/sneller-family-charitable-giving-fund

Memorials may also be dropped off at American State Bank in Sioux Center.

Ryan & Jenna Sneller

Mya Jean Sneller was born May 22, 2012 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the daughter of Ryan and Jenna (Honermann) Sneller. Mya was baptized at First Reformed Church in Sioux Center on September 29, 2013. She lived in Sioux Center and recently finished 1st grade at Kinsey Elementary School. Mya will be remembered as a radiant and joyful little girl who was full of sunshine. She enjoyed attending A.W.A.N.A., reading chapter books, swimming and anything to do with horses. She loved music, dancing and keeping her hands busy with crafts, puzzles, board games, Barbies and her American Girl doll, Scarlett. Mya adored spending time with her friends, relaxing in the hammock, fishing with her Papa Honermann and riding and driving the boats. Her greatest joys were being a big sister, playing school with her sissy and reading her devotional before bedtime.

Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Ryan and Jenna Sneller of Sioux Center, IA; two sisters, three year old - Ruby Mae and 7 month old - Layla Ryan Sneller; paternal grandparents, Glen and Laura Sneller of Sioux Center, IA; maternal grandparents, Roy and Karen Honermann of Adrian, MN; aunts and uncles, Jared (Lori) Honermann of Waterloo, IA, Jessica (Shawn) Bauer of Sioux Falls, SD, Josh (Courtney) Sneller of Sioux Falls, SD, Kara (Jordan) Acevedo of Sioux Center, IA and Brent Sneller (fiancé, Maryellen Spreen) of Sioux Center, IA; two great grandmothers: Darlene Van Holland of Rock Valley, IA and Henrietta Sneller of Sioux Center, IA; many cousins, and other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Harold Sneller, John Van Holland, Leroy and Regina Honermann, Anton and Johanna Klein; great-uncles, Doug Honermann and Daryl Roetzel; great-aunts, Carol Van Holland and Karla Bronzynski.
