WHITE SERVICES WILL BE HELD FRIDAY

Funeral services for Edward Garfield White,72, who died at his home in Hawarden Monday night, will be held at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon at the Barnard Funeral Home with Reverend B. Roy Brown of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Ireton Cemetery.

Mr. White, a life-long resident of the Craig, Ireton, and Hawarden communities, died following a heart attack.

Edward, the son of Thomas and Mary (Brunskill) White, was born on a farm near Craig April 2, 1881. He lived in the Craig and Ireton territories until 1939when he moved to Hawarden. He married Oleiva Pierre October 27, 1927.

Surviving are the widow; two sons: Harlan Deane, who is serving with the armed forces in Korea and Wesley Wayne of Minneapolis; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Holmes of Parkville, Missouri; one brother, Alvin White of Ireton; two sisters: Mrs. Clara Smith of Ellendale, North Dakota and Mrs. Josephine Hoiting of Eugene, Oregon; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
