Mr. and Mrs. Peter Lockhorst received word last Friday of the unexpected death of John Weyers, 71, of Lime Springs, Iowa. Memorial services were held at Lime Springs and funeral services were held at the Reformed Church in Maurice. Burial was in the Maurice Cemetery.

The Weyers family were former Maurice residents where they owned and operated the Ford Garage.

Survivors include the widow, Lois; one son Gary, Lime Springs; one daughter, Mrs. Bernie Jean Van Veldhuizen, Northwood; one brother, Tony Weyers, Southgate, California; two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Ann) Schroeder, Orange City and Mrs. Gerrit (Minnie) Dolieslager of Doon.

Mr. and Mrs. Tony Weyers of South Gate, California arrived last week by plane and visited at the Peter Lockhorst home and also attended the funeral of John Westra.
