One of the most sad deaths that ever befell this community was that of little Kity West, youngest child of G.B. West, last Monday morning from a spasm.

She was nearly three years old and a bright little cherub of her age.

What makes the bereavement of the family so much more severe is that only a few days ago, Mr. West left for Nebraska where he was to commence preaching. He was sent for and Reverend York went to the place for which he was destined but nothing could be heard of him and it is feared that some calamity may have befallen him.

The funeral took place this (Friday) afternoon.
