From De Volksvriend, October 1, 1896, Hospers news:

(Translation) Mr. W. Klein died here this morning about one o’clock. The funeral takes place tomorrow (Tuesday) from the Presbyterian Church. He was sick only 5 days.

From De Volksvriend, October 8, 1896: Obituary

(Translation) It pleased the Lord of life and death to take from my side my beloved husband and my children’s caring father, Willem Klein, leaving behind me and eight children, two of whom are married. He reached the age of more than 62 years and was sick only five days. We may believe that he has entered into peace and do not begrudge him that. But still, the loss is difficult for us.
