David Eugene Waterman, 51, of Elk Point, South Dakota, died August 18, 2001. Funeral services was Tuesday, August 21, at the First Baptist Church in Hawarden with the Reverend Stuart Schruer officiating. Interment was in Grace Hill Cemetery. Christy-Smith Funeral Homes in Sioux City was in charge of arrangements.

David Waterman was born on May 10, 1950 to Wayne S. and Daisy (Strong) Waterman in Hawarden. He attended Hawarden Schools. He married Marjorie (Thompson) in Elk Point on June 28, 1979. He worked for Floyd Valley Packing for many years until they closed, then joined his wife in a child care business. He went to work for Gateway for five years.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; three daughters, Amy Molina of Pueblo, Colorado, Tine Golden of Sioux City, Jennifer Waterman of Jefferson; two step-sons, Greg Fystro of Sheridan, Illinois, Jeffery Fystro of Aurora, Illinois; four brothers, Denny of Elk Point, Bruce, Terry and Larry all of Hawarden; step-daughter, Renee Whitlatch of Plainfield, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Darvin, Richard and Rodney.
