Charles J. Baack of Le Mars, formerly of the Ireton vicinity, died Sunday after a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held in Le Mars yesterday with Reverend Harry H. Meyer in charge.

Mr. Baack was born August 22, 1877, at Muecklinburg, Germany, and was confirmed in the Lutheran faith. For many years he was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ireton.

He came to America with his parents, John and Wilhelmina (Warmeke) Baack, at the age of three, locating in Sioux County. He married Anna Katherine Albers in 1903.

Survivors are his widow and one brother, John, of Pipestone, Minnesota.
