Mr. Harry Wallinga, age 85, of Orange City, passed away Tuesday, September 6, at the Wide View Rest Home in Paullina, after a short illlness.

Harry K. Wallinga was born December 12, 1897 at LeMars, the son of Harry Wallinga and Alice Benjamin Wallinga.

Upon reaching adulthood, he became a truck driver.

On February 7,1930, he married Alice Vanden Berg at Carnes. They farmed near Hull until about 1960, when they retired to Orange City. Mrs. Wallinga passed away June 9, 1976.

Mr. Wallinga became a resident of the Wide View Home in August of 1982. He was a member of the American Reformed Church of Orange City.

Survivors include his son, Merlyn, of Orange City, four grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 10, at the American Reformed Church, with the Reverend Marlin Vander Wilt officiating. Interment followed at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman Funeral Home of Orange City.
