FORMER ROCK VALLEY MAN MEETS TRAGIC DEATH

Francis Henningfeld, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Henningfeld of Rock Valley, was found dead in a truck at Springfield, Ohio, Monday. He and another man were sent by a transportation company in Sioux City to Springfield for a load to be brought back to Sioux City. When they arrived in Springfield they had to wait a while before they could load, and so they drove to a parking lot and decided to get some sleep. They left the engine of the truck running so as to furnish heat. Later both men were found in the cab of the truck dead from carbon monoxide gas.

Mr. Henningfeld was born in Rock Valley about 26 years ago. While a small boy his parents moved to Washington where they resided several years and later moved to Chadron, Nebraska, and from there to Rock Valley about three years ago. He was a splendid young man of the best of character and habits and had many friends wherever he was known, who extend sincere sympathy to the bereaved parents and brothers and sisters

Besides his parents, he leaves three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Arnold Jones, of New Castle, Nebr., Mrs. J. C. Smith of Rock Rapids, and Mae at home, and Theophil and John at home.
