The death of Mrs. Luder "Louis" Twillman occurred last Wednesday the 28th of December, after an illness of several weeks. The cause of death was nephritis, a disease of the kidneys.

The funeral was Sunday at 1:30 o’clock from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church pf which she had been a member many years. Her maiden name was Gesina Schlake. She was born June 13, 1855 at Rekum near Bremen, Germany and was married there to Louis Twillman May 15, 1875. The family came to America in 1888 and settled on a farm near Ireton since which time the comings and goings of this excellent family are known to all. Twelve children were born to them and eight are living and were present at her bedside.

Besides the bereaved husband and father they are: William, Martin, George, Henry and Adolph and Miss Martha Twillman, Mrs. R.H. Ellts and Mrs. Tinbrock of South Dakota. There is also one brother living in Germany.
