PETER TREIBER FUNERAL HELD

Peter Treiber, 85, passed away last Friday, February 23. His funeral was held Monday afternoon in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawarden with Reverend O. F. Pittack officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery under the direction of Dow Funeral Home.

Mr. Treiber was born June 23, 1882, in Germany, to Georg and Anna (Erny) Treiber, coming to the United States as an infant.

He married Amalia Degen January 16, 1907, on a farm near Ireton. He had lived in the Hawarden area the last 65 years, farming at Le Mars, Ireton, and Hawarden, retiring 25 years ago.

Besides his widow, he is survived by two sons, Ed and Walter, both of Hawarden; one daughter, Mrs. Ralph Jones of Hawarden; one sister, Mrs. Louis Wegner; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
