Jacob Trageser, an old German farmer, who lived in the Washington Township for a number of years, died at Sheldon very suddenly last February and before his death has willed all of his property to his housekeeper, Mathilda Lewis.

The heirs commenced suit to declare the will void and have been successful through a compromise. Mrs. Lewis is to be paid $7000 cash out of the estate valued at $5,000 to $6,000. This is quite a victory for Attorney J.H.Hutchinson who had charge of the case for the Trageser heirs.
