AUGUSTUS TRAGESER DIES AT AGE 91 AT MAPES NURSING HOME

Funeral services for Augustus John Trageser, 91, who died Sunday at the Mapes Nursing Home where he had been cared for the past several years, were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Barnard Funeral Home, Reverend O.F. Pittack of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Casket bearers included Ralph Brown, Eugene Lee, Ernest Meins, Lucian Cornash, Robert Meins and John Orton, Jr.

Mr. Trageser was born December 15, 1890 at Dane, Wisconsin. He came to Iowa in 1904 and farmed southeast of Hawarden until 1949 when he retired.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
