Veronica (Vonnie) Robinette Hale Aldrich died peacefully May 14, 2018 in Kelseyville, CA with her daughter, Debbie, by her side.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hawarden, Iowa with Father Paul D. Bormann celebrating the mass. Burial of the cremated remains will follow in the Grace Hill Cemetery, next to her loving husband, where she always wanted to be.

Vonnie was born November 12, 1924 in Cresaptown, Maryland to George E. and Geraldine B. Robinette. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene C. Aldrich; a sister, Aurelia Meinecke; and a son, Michael L. Hale (Mississippi).

She is survived by a daughter, Debra Lowell (Tim) of Kelseyville, CA; a son, Tommy Hale (Ava) of Yazoo City, MS; a daughter, Jo Ann Aldrich Lundfelt (Charles) of Stephenson, WA; a daughter, Janet Ackerman (Jamie) of Coeur d’Alene, ID; a son, Mark Aldrich of Aliso Viejo, CA; and a daughter, Theresa Jene Aldrich of Fort Bragg, CA; grandchildren, Thomas F. Hale III (Nena) of Fort Irwin, CA; Angelina Jones (Russ) of Winchester, CA; Patricia Hale Taillon of Wake Forest, NC; Stephanie Arrington of Starkville, MS; Robin Cunningham (Eric) of Starkville, MS; Jennifer Kraft (Josie) of Yazoo City, MS; Reid Hale of Yazoo City, MS; Stuart Hale of Yazoo City, MS; Michael Shai Hearn of Seattle, WA; Patrick Aaron Hale (Micah) of Nice, CA; James Goodman (Keiko) of Santa Rosa, CA; Allison Cordaro (Mario) of Trabuco Canyon CA; Jennifer Hambel (Ryan) of Mission Viejo, CA; Neil Aldrich of Mission Viejo, CA; Grant Aldrich (Colleen) of Portland OR; Wesley Ackerman of Oxnard, CA; James Loomis of Coeur d’Alene, ID; Tim Lowell, Jr. (Michele) of Nice, CA; Jennifer Cann (Cory) of Kelseyville, CA; 24 loving great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Vonnie touched so many lives during her time here on earth, and, needless to say, will be greatly missed by all who knew her. As for her children, she greatly enriched the lives of each and every one of us, especially the example she set through her faith. Vonnie’s and Gene’s faith was always first and foremost. She was an angel on earth.
