DEATH CLAIMS HENRY TALSMA--FORMER HAWARDEN RESIDENT PASSED AWAY TUESDAY AT GREGORY, SOUTH DAKOTA

Henry Talsma, former Hawarden resident, died at Gregory, South Dakota, Tuesday, according to word received here. Two sisters, Mrs. Chas. Steinfort and Mrs Hein Jager, departed for Gregory Wednesday to attend the funeral.

Mr. Talsma made his home in this community for fifteen years or more. He farmed for a number of years and later moved to town and for a considerable number of years was employed as a section hand by the North Western Railway Company. He moved to Gregory about five years ago where he engaged in farming. No particulars concerning his death are available.

Mr. Talsma was a widower and made a home for his mother at Gregory. He was always a steady and dependable worker and strictly honorable in all his transactions. His many former friends here will learn with regret of his passing. Besides his mother, he is survived by three step-sons, Dick Hulleman of Hawarden, John Hulleman, who resides in Wisconsin, and Gerrit Hulleman, who lives in Minnesota, and one step-daughter, Mrs. Millard Richardson, who lives in Missouri.
