Funeral services were held Thursday, April 2, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Woodstock, Minnesota for Fritz Tiedemann. He died Monday, March 30, 1981 at the age of 73 years in the Good Samaritan Home at Pipestone.

Fred Tiedemann was born on June 30, 1907 to Claus and Maria Helwig Tiedemann in Lyon County, near Hull, Iowa where he was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. He attended rural school in Lyon County and grew to manhood on his family's farm near Hull.

In 1948 the family moved to a farm north of Woodstock, Minnesota, where Fritz farmed until 1959 when he retired and moved into Woodstock. Last December, Fritz entered the Good Samaritan Home at Pipestone.

He is lovingly remembered by two brothers: August Tiedemann of Woodstock, Minnesota and Rudolph Tiedemann of Hull; one sister, Mrs. Johanna Thielvoldt of Rock Rapids and three nieces, four nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents.
