Funeral services were held on Monday morning at nine o'clock in St. Anthony Catholic Church for Leo M. Theis, who died at Sioux City sanitarium on Thursday, August 7, 1941, after a lingering illness of tuberculosis.

Leo M., son of Mr. and Mrs. John Theis, was born January 3, 1904, on a farm southeast of Hospers and died at the age of 37 years.

He is survived by his father John Theis, one brother, and one sister, Margaret Theis of Sheldon. Three brothers, one sister and his mother preceded him in death.

Interment was made at the St. Anthony Cemetery. Pallbearers were former school mates: Alphonse Glaaden, Henry Frantzen, Henry Stoll, Emil Frantzen, Alfred Jungers and John Hoffman.
