Funeral services were held for John C. Teunissen, 17, of Doon on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Home In Rock Valley with the Reverend J. Van Zweden officiating. Burial was at Valley View Cemetery at Rock Valley.
John C. Teunissen died Thursday, April 3 in an auto accident near Doon.
Mr. Teunissen was born on July 7, 1951 at Canton, S.D. He lived near Doon most of his life.
His survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Teunissen of Grand Rapids, Michigan, two brothers, James of Fort Denning, Georgia, and Cornie Lee at home; eight sisters, Henrietta, Gertrude, Berniece, Grace, Jacoba, Joyce, Betty and Janice, all at home; paternal grandfather Jannus Teunissen of Doon; maternal grandmother, Mrs. John Van Surksum of Doon.
