Funeral held for Mrs. Gertrude Van't Hof Monday
Mrs. Gertrude Van't Hof, nee Gertrude Eerkes, passed away Thursday night at 11:17 at the Community Memorial hospital in Sheldon after having suffered a lingering illness.

She is survived by her son, Paul, 14; her mother, Mrs. John Eerkes, of Orange City; her sister, Mr. Wm. Gambler, of Orange City; her brother, Cornelius Eerkes, of Cleveland, Ohio; her sisters, Mrs. John Stensland and Esther Eerkes, of Sioux City. Her father preceded in death in 1953.

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the American Reformed church, with the Rev. C. Muyskens officiating. Interment was made in the local cemetery with the Van Etten Funeral home in charge.

(She was married to Dr. Albert VantHof in 1940 they had one son Paul.
