Funeral Services Held Monday for Nelva Van Rooyen
Funeral services for Nelva Jean Van Rooyen who died last Friday were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Trinity Reformed church, the Rev. Norwood Reck officiating. Nelva Jean died at her farm home after a long illness. She was 17 years old.

Surviving relatives include her parents Mr. and Mrs. Walter Van Rooyen three sisters, Mr. Gerrit Pennings and Mrs. Gerrit Rozeboom and Mr. Leland De Haan both of Orange City a grand mother,, Mrs. Jacob Van Rooyen of Orange City. 16 nieces and nephews.

Nelva Jean was born Nov 18, 1941 at her parents farm home northwest of Orange City, and lived there all her life.

Pallbearers at the funeral Monday were John A. Reekers, Gerrit Nibbelink, Gilbert Schelling. Lloyd Van Gorp. Arlyn Kleinwolderink and Harley Kleinwolerink. Burial was in Newkirk cemetery.
