Lon Percy, a former resident of this neighborhood but who for many years has lived in Minnesota, passed away and his remains were brought to Ireton for burial in the family plot in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

He had reached the age of 60 years. The Percy farm is the place now tenanted by Will DeRaad, southwest of Ireton.

The Percy family has been gone for over 40 years. Lon was only a baby when his mother died. He had two sisters living in Alcester.
