Died Wednesday morning of pneumonia It was just her 78th birthday. Mrs.Rev. D. Mouw was born in Utrecht, the Netherlands, in 1835 and came to Pella, Iowa, 60 years ago, in 1854. The same year she was married to Mr. A. M. van der Berge. They came to Sioux County in. 1870 and removed thence to Dakota in 1885. In the autumn of 1894 they came back to Sioux county. Mr. Van der Berge died in 1896. In 1900, she married Rev. Dries Mouw. Of her first marriage there are six children living, Mrs. W. van Steenbergen lives here. The funeral service will be held Friday noon at half past two in the first Presbyterian Church, under leadership of Ds. Lubbers. Our sympathy is with the husband and children .Note: In a family report on Ancesty.com (by Others) Elizabeth Rysdam was born Jan 28, 1836 in Weesp, Noord Holland Netherlands the daughter of Arie Rysdam and Geertruy Van Maanen, she married Adriaan Michiel VandenBerge (1832-1897) on Feb 22, 1856 in Marion Co. IA They had six children. Then she married Andries ‘Rev. Dries’ Mouw on October 29, 1900. She died Jan 18, 1914 at Sioux Center IA.
Her six children were Geertruida, Wilhelmina, John, Arie, James and Elizabeth.
