Burial services were held here Friday at the Van Etten Funeral Home and at the local cemetery for Roul Swynenberg of Browns Valley, Minnesota. Reverend H. Colenbrander officiated.
Mr. Swynenberg died Tuesday morning.
He was born in Illinois and in 1916 he bought the Carnes store.
After his wife, Bertha (Coale) Swynenberg, passed away 14 years ago, he made his home with his only child, Mrs. L.S. Baer of Browns Valley.
Surviving are his daughter, one sister in Illinois, and two grandchildren Jack and Nicholas.
His son, Ed passed away six years ago in April and his daughter-in-law, was unable to come from Orange, California, for the services.
Mr. and Mrs. Baer and Jack and Nicholas were here for the funeral and left again Monday for their home. While here they were guests in the Mrs. Jennie Vanden Berg home.
