John Top buried at Doon Monday.
Doon Press: John Top 55 years old former resident of this community died at his farm home near Hills MN Thursday Sept 3 following an illness covering the period of 4-5 months. He is survived by his wife and 11 children. One daughter died in infancy and a son Albert dies and was buried in the local cemetery two years ago. Mrs. Top is a sister of Mrs. john H. Levering and Mrs. Sy Stallinga both of Doon. He was born in the Netherlands married at Perkins and later lived around Hull, Doon and Hill. The family moved from this community to Hill about 20 years ago. Funeral services were held in the top farm home and at the Christian Reformed church of Hills Monday afternoon and burial was made in the family plot at Doon Cemetery. Service was in charge of the Paster of Hills church.
