Wayne Stueven, 60, of Boyden died Saturday, November 16, at his residence.

Memorial services were scheduled Tuesday, November 19, at the St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Boyden. The Reverend Steven A. Mehl and the Reverend John Goertz officiated. Graveside services were at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, rural Boyden. Vander Ploeg Funeral Home, Boyden, made the arrangements.

Wayne Carl Stueven was born September 18, 1936, in Boyden, the son of Henry A. and Minnie M. (Hollander) Stueven. On February 10, 1956, he married Clleon Kay Van Diepen at St. John’s Lutheran Church. He lived his entire life in Boyden and Matlock areas. For almost 40 years he was employed by the Farmers Cooperative Association in Boyden. He was currently a service technician in their propane department. He was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sondra, and her husband, James Hembd of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Rhonda Meendering of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; two grandchildren; his mother, Minnie Stueven, of Boyden; a brother, Loren, of Boyden; and a sister, Delores Winter, of Boyden.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by three sons, Tom, James and Michael.
