Albert Stuart, 79, pioneer watch-maker and jeweler at Orange City, died at the Orange City Hospital at 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 23rd, after suffering a heart attack the same morning.

Mr. Stuart was born at Assen, Netherlands and came to the United States in 1894 at the age of 21 years. He was a watch repairer by trade and later entered the jewelry business, operating a store at Orange City for many years.

He sold his store and retired in 1948.

In 1901 he married Jennie Van Klompenburg, who survives him, together with four children: Albert of Los Angeles, Herman of Onawa, Fred of Sioux City; Margaret, Mrs. Arthur Van Meeveren of Sioux Falls; also by two grandchildren, Linda Stuart and Suart Van Meeveren; and by one brother, Dr. Gerrit Stuart of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Two brothers, the Reverend Fred Stuart and Reverend William Stuart, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday in the home at one p.m. and in the Orange City First Reformed Church, of which he was a member, at 1:30 p.m.
