Irvin Streff, 58, of Alton died Monday in the Orange City Municipal Hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Thursday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton. The Reverend David Hogan will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery under the direction of the Fisch Funeral Home of Remsen.

Mr. Streff was born September 21, 1926, in Alton. He married Marie Youngers February 5, 1952 in Sheldon. The couple farmed near Alton. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Rosary Society.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Gary of Elizabeth, Colorado, Randal of Parker, Colorado and Ronald of Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Miss Suzanne of Dallas and Miss Shirley of Des Moines; six brothers, Clarence and Francis, both of Alton, Vincent of Le Mars, Bob of Sauk Centre, Minnesota, Clifford and Raymond, both of Slayton, Minnesota; and three sisters Mrs. Lawrence (Stella) Frederes of Alton, Mrs. George (Callista) Frederes of Remsen and Mrs. Ray (Charlene) Schneitler of Le Mars, and one granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Felix Streff (Anna Pottebaum), one brother and one sister in infancy.
