James Story, one of the oldest settlers in Sioux County, died at his home about five miles west of Pattersonville last Thursday, of consumption.

He leaves a wife, Aurelia (Borst) Story and several children to mourn his loss.

Cottrell Post No. 76 of the G.A.R. took charge of the remains.

Mr. Story was well and favorably known throughout the county, and news of his death will be received with sorrow by a large circle of friend.
