Mrs, J. T. Klein passed away Saturday afternoon, haying been confined, to her room only a few days. Her death was caused by a complication of troubles, the most serious one, kidney trouble, was of long standing. Mrs. Klein leaves a husband and five children, Tunis, Kittie, Gertrude. Henry and Eva, one sister, Mrs. Al Smeek of Colton SD, four half sisters, Mrs. A. Rosendaal oŁ Holland, Neb,, Mrs. A. P. Kuyper of Pella, Mrs. W. J. Duiker of Leighton IA . Miss Hendrina Hospers of Ft. Sill, Okla., and Mrs, W. W. Schultz of this place ; one brother, Peter Hospers of California,; three half brothers Rev. Henry Hospers of Kalamazoo, Mich-, Rev. Gerrit Hospers of Ontario Center, N. Y,, and Isaac Hospers who is teaching at Scranton, la,

Mrs. Klein's maiden name was Hendrika Hospers and was the youngest daughter of the Hon. Henry Hospers, by his first wife, one of Orange City's earliest Settlers, after the death of her mother she went to live with her grandfather, John Reapers and remained a resident of Pella until two years before her marriage in 1885. She was born at Pella fifty years ago and was married at the same place something over twenty-five years ago. She came here with her husband, J. T. Klein.

In 1887. to Jive on the farm west of town now owned by San Muilenburg. Afterward Mr. Klein took charge of the county poor farm where they remained for a term of eight years, Mr, Klein has since been engaged in the mercantile business. Mrs. Klein was a woman of charming character, more than commonly devoted to home and family. The greatest sympathy is felt for sill the family in their sudden and severe bereavement.

Tbe funeral was held Tuesday at the' First Reformed church conducted by Rev. Engelsman. Friends from away who attended were Mrs. T. H. Kiein, J. T. Kleins mother of Pella, his broiher, A. T., another brother G. T. and his daughter Mrs. VerSteeg, Mr. Kleins sister, and Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Kujper all of Pella. Out of respect all business places were closed during the funeral services.
