Mrs. Bern. Hyink Dies at Glendale Mrs. Bernard J. Hyink, 76, of Glendale, Calif., a former Hawarden resident, died Sunday evening at Glendale hospital.

Mrs. Hyink, the former Gladys Garretson was born Feb. 8, 1890 in Sioux City. Her first marriage was to Lt. Col. Jude Gary, who was killed during World War I in France. She was married later to Bernard J. Hyink, son of the late Mrs. Anna Hyink of Alton, and the couple, resided in Hawarden before moving to California.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Donald Hyink of Glendale and Arthur Gary of La Grange, IL.: a daughter, Mrs. Virginia O'Hara of Glendale; a stepson, Bernard Hyink Jr. of Fullerton, Calif.; two brothers and two sisters and four grandchildren.
