Rock Valley Mrs. James Driessen passed away at her home on Thursday August 1, 1948 at the age of 69 years! 5 months and 5 days. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the home at 1:44 and at the Christian Ref Church at 2:00 o'clock.
Mrs. Driessen nee Henrietta Evenboer was born February 26, 1877 in the Netherlands. To this union were born 13 children, four of whom- preceded her in death. The family came to the United States in 1909.
She is survived by her husband, Fannie, Mrs. Evert Brands of Jasper Minn.; Rolena, Mrs. William Faber of Inwood; Henrietta, Mrs. Ralph Otten oŁ Rock Rapids; Jennie. Sirs. Henry Buma of Bellflower, Calif.; Henry of Sioux Center; Tena, Mrs. Bill Gerritsen of Artesia, Calif; John of Bellflower, Calif.; Ed of Rock-Valley and Anna still at home. There are 39 grand children and one great grandchild.
Mrs. Driessen suffered a paralytic stroke about 14 weeks ago and has been-confined to her bed most of the time since
