ROCK VALLEY - Bert Driesen, 84, of Rock Valley, died Thursday at a Rock Valley hospital. Services were at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Christian Reformed Church with the Rev. Fred Gunnink officiating. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.

Mr. Driesen was born Dec. 2, 1902, in Rock Valley and attended rural schools. He married Jennie DeBoer on Sept. 10, 1934, in Rock Valley and the couple farmed in the Rock Valley area. In 1953, he bought the International Harvester dealership which he ran until his retirement in 1974. He was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church, where he served as an elder and a deacon, and served on the Christian school board for many years.

Survivors include his wife; 5 sons, Harold, Gene, and Donald, all of Rock Valley, Bernard of Boyden and Marion of Oostburg, Wise.; four daughters, Mrs. Howard (Elaine) Van Otterloo of Salem, Ore., Mrs. Kent (Helen) Remmerde of Aumsville, Ore., and Mrs. Rodney (Carol) Sandbulte, and Mrs. Harry (Diane) Rozeboom, both of Rock Valley; a sister, Rolena In't Veld of Rock Valley; 33 grandchildren and 8 greatgrandchildren.
