MRS. LOUIS STOLL OF HOSPERS PASSES

Mrs. Louis Stoll of Hospers died suddenly Saturday morning July 21st at 8:45 A.M. in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Sioux City.

Petronella "Nelli" Beckmann was the daughter of John and Katharina (Roling) Beckman of near Granville. She was born August 3, 1904 and 40 years, 11 months and 18 days at the time of her death.

She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Granville and on November 26, 1930, she was united in marriage to Mr. Louis Stoll of Hospers at St. Joseph’s Church in Granville. The young couple immediately set up housekeeping on a farm a few miles south of Hospers. This has been their home ever since.

Besides her bereaved husband, she is survived by five small children. Regina, 12, Norbert, 10, Leo, 7, Peter, 6, and Vincent, 2. Also by two sisters Marina and Henrietta and five brothers, Lawrence, Raymond, Elmer, Frank, and Clarence. Her parents passed away several years ago.

The deceased was a devout member of St. Anthony’s Church and also of the Mothers Society.

The funeral was held Tuesday morning, July 24th at 10 A.M. in St. Anthony’s Church, with her brother-in-law, Reverend Peter Stoll, S.V.D. of Epworth, Iowa in charge. Pallbearers were Nick Becker, Nick Portz, Clem Schmidt, Clem Freking, Sylvester Haag and John Klein. Burial was made in St. Anthony’s Cemetery here.

The family has the sympathy of the entire community in their great loss.
