Norbert J. Stoll, 53, died Saturday at the Le Mars Hospital as a result of a farm accident near Le Mars.

Services were held Tuesday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Hospers. The Reverend Thomas Hart officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery under the direction of the Fisch Funeral Home of Remsen.

Mr. Stoll was born November 16, 1934 at Hospers to Louis and Petronilla (Beckmann) Stoll. He was raised and educated there. He attended St. Anthony’s Catholic School in Hospers and farmed with his father near Hospers until he entered the U.S. Army February 6, 1957. After his discharge, February 5, 1959, he moved to near Archer where he farmed since that time. He married Helen Vortherms November 22, 1962 at Granville. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Duane, at home; three daughters, Marie and Joyce Stoll, both of Sioux City, and Joan Stoll at home; a sister, Mrs. Arnold (Regina) Portz of Hospers; three brothers, Leo of Hospers, Peter of Alton and Vincent of Granville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
