Funeral services were held at the First Reformed Church in Hull at 1:30 P.M. August 2 for John H. Stientjes, 70, of Hull, who died July 29 of a heart attack while fishing.

Services were conducted by the Reverend John Ekema and burial was made in the Boyden Cemetery.

Mr. Stientjes was born at Boyden July 8, 1901, son of T.J. and Effie (Veenschoten) Stientjes. He married Angeline Claerbout September 27, 1931, at Boyden. She died in Hull in February, 1966.

Mr. Stientjes worked for Sioux County for many years prior to his retirement in 1963.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Edna Fletcher of Bullhead, Arizona.
